NFL.COM OFFERS FANS THE MOST
COMPREHENSIVE 2001 NFL DRAFT COVERAGE
Behind-the-Scenes Player Diaries, Video and Live Chats Featured
NFL Wireless Provides NFL Draft Info Anywhere, Anytime
NFL.COM offers fans the most comprehensive coverage of the 2001 NFL Draft with
player diaries, behind-the-scenes segments from Emmy Award-winning NFL Films hosted by New
York Giants running back TIKI BARBER, expert draft analysis, a live internet
radio show and more throughout the April 21-22 football event and preceding weeks.
In addition, for the first time, NFL Wireless, an initiative launched during the
regular season, will enable fans to have access to NFL Draft news anywhere, at anytime.
The NFL, working with Ignite Sports Media, will deliver the latest picks in real-time,
team-by-team selections and other news on Web-enabled devices such as cell phones, PDAs
(personal digital assistants), RIMs (two-way paging devices) and pagers. Fans also can use
NFL Wireless to browse NFL.COM.
NFL.COM will feature live chats with more than 50 of the top draft prospects
leading up to and through Draft Weekend. Fans can look to NFL.COM for analytical
profiles on the top-rated draft-eligible players. The site shares expert analysis on more
than four dozen prospects including in-depth features on more than 25 players.
NFL Draft on NFL.COM programming includes:
- A behind-the-scenes video diary of MICHAEL VICK, a leading candidate to be the
first pick of the draft. NFL Films will produce segments beginning Thursday night as Vick
hits New York for Draft weekend.
- Live chats on Draft day from The Theater at Madison Square Garden, site of the Draft,
with Vick, LEONARD DAVIS, T, Texas; DEUCE McALLISTER, RB, Mississippi, JUSTIN
SMITH, DE, Missouri, DAVID TERRELL, WR, Michigan; LaDAINIAN TOMLINSON,
RB, Texas Christian and KENYATTA WALKER, T, Florida. In addition, NFL Commissioner PAUL
TAGLIABUE, who in 1995 became the first athlete or sports league executive to chat
online, will also converse with fans on NFL.com.
- Immediate draft selection analysis from Draft guru GIL BRANDT, former personnel
chief of the Dallas Cowboys, and NFL Insider Magazine National Editor VIC
CARUCCI, an NFL journalist for two decades.
- College game-action video highlights of NFL prospects. In addition, NFLHS.com, the
NFLs site for high school football players, coaches and parents, will feature high
school footage of select players, provided by Sportscapsule. The players include: DREW

information links for every drafted player. Sortable features allow fans to view players
selected by position and college.

the Drafts seven rounds.
This year marks the seventh NFL Draft NFL.COM has covered for fans around the
