Commissioner Paul Tagliabue has informed NFL clubs that the annual spring league meeting will be extended this year by one day to provide sufficient time for discussion and votes on a number of key matters, including realignment.

Originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 22 and 23, in Chicago, the meeting now will include Thursday, May 24 as well. The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the O'Hare Airport in Chicago.

Commissioner Tagliabue notified the clubs that he will schedule realignment for discussion and voting on the first day of the meeting -- Tuesday, May 22. If necessary, he said, voting on realignment will continue on Wednesday, May 23.

A full agenda for the three-day spring meeting will be sent to all clubs in early May.
