SUPERBOWL.COM KICKS OFF WITH TOP ANALYSTS
AND MULTIMEDIA FEATURES
New Orleans may be the
location for Super Bowl XXXVI, but SUPERBOWL.COM
is the official Web site for fans of America’s biggest event.
Spearheaded by the
most powerful lineup of analysts with Super Bowl experience, including
Super Bowl XXVII MVP TROY AIKMAN, and Super Bowl XXI MVP
PHIL SIMMS,
SUPERBOWL.COM will take fans inside the events, the history, the locker
room and press conferences with access found nowhere else on the Internet.
Fans will be able to
vote exclusively on Sun., 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS on SUPERBOWL.COM in the
fourth quarter for the Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player. Fans, along
with a media panel, will select the MVP, who receives the Pete Rozelle
Trophy and the offical vehicle of Super Bowl, a Cadillac EXT.
SUPERBOWL.COM
will also be home to numerous new multimedia elements, including a live
online show produced by NFL Films featuring analysis of the game and
behind-the-scenes Super Bowl atmosphere.
Aikman,
now a Fox Sports announcer, and Simms, a CBS Sports announcer, will
provide expert analysis of the teams, players, strategies and drama for
SUPERBOWL.COM, throughout Super Bowl week.
Both have contributed analysis throughout the season on NFL.com.
In a
unique collaboration, the NFL will work with both Fox Sports, which will
broadcast Super Bowl XXXVI, and SportsLine.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLN), the

SportsLine.com. The NFL and Fox Sports will team for cross promotion on
air and share some content on both SUPERBOWL.COM and FoxSports.com.

More Super Bowl experience comes from BOOMER ESIASON, who led the
Bengals to Super Bowl XXIII. Esiason will broadcast the Super Bowl for CBS
Radio Sports. Also featured is GIL BRANDT, who built the Dallas
Cowboys dynasty in the 1970s as the team’s director of player personnel.
Editors from
NFL INSIDER,
the NFL’s official magazine, including national editor VIC CARUCCI,
who has covered more than 20 Super Bowls, will file daily stories that
provide fans with the most in-depth coverage of the Super Bowl.
In
addition to the most complete stories, SUPERBOWL.COM will feature
new multimedia elements that include comprehensive online coverage from
Emmy-award winning NFL Films.
NFL Films will produce SUPERBOWL.COM TV, a daily
30-minute live-streamed show.
The
show will feature highlights from press conferences, player interviews and
other behind-the-scenes action.
The
site will cover the pageantry and pop culture aspects of the Super Bowl
with celebrity interviews, behind-the-scenes coverage of Super Bowl
parties and special events. It will also have tie-ins with shows such as
“Super Bowl Friday Night,” a one-hour live entertainment show from New
Orleans on CBS.
In
addition, multimedia coverage will be provided of the NFL’s community
outreach programs, such as Rebuilding Together and the Youth Education
Center Town.
Fans can also participate in the NFL’s official post-season fantasy game
where users can test their skill and compete for weekly prizes plus the
chance at a grand prize.

will also capture the excitement of Super Bowl Sunday. From pre-game
analysis to live post-game press conferences, the site will give users
unprecedented access to the year’s biggest game. Users can log on during
the game to participate in a live cyber chat with expert analysts,
including Levy and Brandt, listen to foreign language audio streams and
even hear what the PA and press box announcers are saying.
SUPERBOWL.COM is the only place online where users can follow the
action live, as it happens, with play-by-play and statistics in real-time
through the Super Bowl GameCenter and the animated Super Bowl Live

show 4-5:30 p.m. ET from New Orleans, hosted by Gil Brandt. Players,
