TOM MODRAK NAMED
DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL OPERATIONS
Orchard Park, NY - The Buffalo Bills today announced the hiring of Tom Modrak as Director
of Football Operations.
"We are extremely pleased to have Tom join our staff," said Bills President/General Manager Tom Donahoe. "His talents will be utilized to oversee college scouting as well as offer his expertise in all areas of day-to-day football operations. Tom is a high-class individual with outstanding character and will be a tremendous addition to our community as well as our organization."
Modrak most recently served as the Director of Football Operations for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1998 through May of 2001.
A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Modrak has spent the last 24 years working in the NFL. He began in the league in 1973 as a part-time scout for the Pittsburgh Steelers and then spent six years with the BLESTO scouting service before joining the Steelers on a full-time basis in 1979. He served as the Steelers' pro talent scout before being promoted to Director of Pro Scouting for two seasons. He was then named to run the college personnel department until the spring of 1998 when he was hired by the Eagles.
