Atlanta Falcons quarterback MICHAEL VICK set the standard for quarterback rushing performances yesterday with his record-setting 173 yards (10 carries) in the Falcons’ 30-24 overtime win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Vick set another NFL single-game record on Sunday by rushing for a 17.3 yards-per-carry (minimum 10 carries) average, topping Cleveland fullback and Pro Football Hall of Famer MARION MOTLEY’s 17.09-yard average (11 carries, 188 yards) against the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 29, 1950.

Vick also rushed for two touchdowns on the day, including the 46-yard overtime game-winner – the longest TD run ever by a quarterback in overtime.
