AMERICANS LOOKING FORWARD TO NFL FOOTBALL IN JULY

 NFL Training Camps Top A Busy July List of Anticipated Sporting Events

 The opening of NFL training camps are what sports fans most look forward to throughout July, according to a July 2002 poll conducted by ESPN.com, which drew more than 78,000 responses.

 When asked, “Which of these events in July are you most looking forward to?” more people responded “NFL Training Camps Opening” (35.2 percent) than the Major League Baseball All-Star Game (26.9 percent), golf’s British Open (26.3 percent) and the Tour de France (10.1 percent).

 All 32 NFL teams begin training camps in July.  Earliest NFL camps begin on July 20 as the expansion Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers begin their preseason training. 

 This year marks the NFL’s 83^rd season.
