HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP WITH THE DALLAS
COWBOYS
DEBUTS WEDNESDAY, JULY 31 ON HBO
NEW YORK
– HBO Sports, in association with NFL Films and the Dallas Cowboys, will
provide an all-access look at what it takes to make it in the National
Football League when HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP WITH THE DALLAS COWBOYS
debuts Wednesday. The first sports-based reality series -- and the
fastest-turnaround reality series ever -- will kick off its second season
WEDNESDAY, JULY 31 (11:00 p.m.-midnight ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
Subsequent hour-long episodes will air each Wednesday at the same time,
culminating with the season finale on Sept. 4, with encore plays to
include Thursdays in prime time at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The six-week cinema verité series will focus on the players’and
coaches’daily lives and routines as the Dallas Cowboys, an organization
steeped with a long tradition of championship-caliber teams and five Super
Bowl trophies, build for their 2002 NFL season.
HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP WITH THE DALLAS COWBOYS will follow third-year
head coach Dave Campo and an intriguing mix of veteran players, free
agents and rookie hopefuls throughout training camp and the preseason
schedule.
Each week,viewers will watch as players experience drills, meetings, fun
and struggle to prove that they have what it takes to make the team and
make their mark in the NFL.
A 16-person NFL Films crew will live at the Cowboys’ training camp in San
Antonio, TX, shooting more than 700 hours of video over the course of the
series. Camera and sound crews will be given unencumbered access to the
players’ and coaches’ meeting rooms, training rooms, dormitories and
practice fields. An NFL Films production trailer will be on-site for
player interviews as they reveal their thoughts throughout August.
