HOUSTON -- Bobby Grier, former vice president of player personnel for the New England Patriots, will be associate director of pro scouting for Houston's new NFL franchise.
Grier was responsible for all aspects of the Patriots' pro and college scouting departments until May 1. He had been with the Patriots in personnel capacities for 18 years.
"Any time you have an opportunity to add someone to your organization with the experience and reputation that Bobby has, you do it," Houston general manager Charley Casserly said Tuesday.
"His vast background in the NFL as a scout, personnel executive and coach will be extremely valuable to us."
