Saturday's signing of the Lambeau Field renovation bill will offer fans a free visit to the Packer Hall of Fame and a chance to walk on the Lambeau Field grass.
The Green Bay Packers on Tuesday detailed plans for the signing by Gov. Tommy Thompson of the stadium bill that passed in the Assembly last week.
The Packers envision that the signing could set an attendance record for a bill signing, as signing ceremonies typically attract up to 50 to 75 people at the State Capitol.
"It should be just a great opportunity for the fans to enjoy themselves, bring the family, go to the Hall of Fame and make an afternoon of it," said John Jones, the team's senior vice president of administration.
The stadium bill is designed to help the Packers finance the $295 million Lambeau renovation and remain in the 43-year-old stadium for another 25 to 30 years. Thompson's signature will move the stadium renovation issue back to Brown County, where the Packers want county voters to decide the fate of the project in a Sept. 12 referendum.
