NFL TOPS LOCAL RATINGS IN 15 NFL MARKETS;
MAINTAINS TOP SPOT EACH WEEK IN 13 NFL CITIES
NFL games were the top-rated television program in 15 NFL cities for the television week of November 13-November 19
, according to Nielsen Media Research.In addition, NFL programming represented two of the top five shows in four NFL cities (including San Diego, where NFL games ranked third and fourth). In two NFL markets – Kansas City and San Francisco-Oakland – NFL programming accounted for three of the top five shows.
For the season, NFL games have been the top-rated television program every week the local team has played in 13 NFL cities. Those cities are: Buffalo, Denver, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Tampa, and Washington, D.C.
The five highest local NFL ratings for the week were: Denver, 41.1 (MNF – Raiders at Broncos); Buffalo, 37.5 (Bills at Chiefs); Denver, 36.9 (Chargers at Broncos); New Orleans, 36.3 (Raiders at Saints); and Minneapolis, 35.8 (Panthers at Vikings).
