RAMS & TITANS AGAIN THIS MONDAY NIGHT

Again?

Yes, again! On Monday Night Football, no less.

This week, the NFL concludes its second full week of preseason games with a Monday-night reprise of Super Bowl XXXIV.

The matchup brings back memories of MIKE JONES stopping KEVIN DYSON at the one-yard line, KURT WARNER throwing a 73-yard bomb to ISAAC BRUCE, and STEVE MC NAIR engineering a comeback bid.

But…will FRED MILLER enter the right locker room? And what will DENNIS MILLER think about the whole thing?

Those questions -- and more -- will be answered this Monday night at 7:00 PM ET on ABC-TV in a rematch of the title game won 23-16 by the Rams last January -- considered by some to be the most exciting Super Bowl ever.

"They’re still mad they came up a yard short," says Rams defensive tackle D’MARCO FARR. "We’re still mad they’re just calling it a yard."

Of course, Farr is talking about the crucial tackle Rams linebacker Jones made on Dyson on the one-yard line as the Titans wide receiver tried to stretch the ball over the goal line after catching a pass as time ran out. Stretch it that "one more yard" and America would have had its first overtime Super Bowl ever.

The photo of Dyson stretching toward "goal-line heaven" with Jones hanging on his leg is already a classic.

And a classic rivalry was born. "I’m not going to say we’re two teams who love each other," says Rams tight end ROLAND WILLIAMS. "I’d be a liar if I said that. So we definitely want to go out and play good ball."

Fred Miller? This Monday night, the tackle will become the first restricted/unrestricted free agent since free agency was instituted in 1993 to play against the team he represented in the previous season’s Super Bowl with that team’s Super Bowl opponent.

Eighteen days after holding Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year JEVON KEARSE sackless in the Super Bowl for the Rams, Miller became a Titan.

"I had a bad game against Tennessee in the regular season (a 24-21 Titans win) and a great game in the Super Bowl," says Miller. "Now I’m with the team we (the Rams) beat in the Super Bowl."

One of the reasons Miller signed with Tennessee is that it likes the run. "It’s definitely an offensive lineman’s dream to run the ball 35 times a game," he says. Another is that he grew up a Houston Oilers fan, the Titans forerunner, in Houston.

Rams-Titans is one of several interesting games on the NFL preseason schedule this week:
