PACKERS TOP BEARS SUNDAY NIGHT, 28-6

The Green Bay Packers, led by a record night by QB BRETT FAVRE, defeated the Chicago Bears 28-6 Sunday night.

Favre, who completed 19 of 31 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown, reached 3,000 yards passing for a ninth consecutive season to tie DAN MARINO's NFL mark from 1984-92.

Packers RB AHMAN GREEN rushed for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns, and WR BILL SCHROEDER had 6 receptions for 119 yards.

The Packers’ defense, led by CB TYRONE WILLIAMS 38-yard interception return for a touchdown, held the Bears to 2 field goals and forced 2 turnovers.

Chicago RB JAMES ALLEN gained 80 yards on 17 carries and is now 80 yards shy of 1,000 for the season.
