TITANS DEFEAT COWBOYS MONDAY NIGHT, 31-0

The Tennessee Titans defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-0 Monday night at Adelphia Coliseum to clinch homefield advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

The Titans turned four third-quarter Dallas turnovers into 24 points and were led by a defense which recorded 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, recovered 3 forced fumbles, and held the Cowboys to 96 yards of total offense.

Tennessee RB EDDIE GEORGE rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, topping the 1,500-yard rushing mark for the first time in his career, finishing with 1,509 for the season.

The Titans concluded the regular season with the NFL's best record at 13-3 and became only the fifth team to finish with at least 13 victories in consecutive seasons since the NFL went to a 16-game schedule in 1978.
