Each Sunday evening, the National Football League will e-mail scores, recaps and standings in order to assist you in your coverage of the 2001 regular season.  The e-mail will be sent at approximately 9:00 p.m. ET, following Sunday’s afternoon action.

San Francisco – Coming off consecutive home shutout victories, the 49ers’ defense rose to the occasion again, holding Philadelphia to 3 points on 2 trips inside the San Francisco 5-yard line. One goal-line stand saw the 49ers hold the Eagles without a score on 6 consecutive plays inside the 2-yard line early in the fourth quarter.
