FIRST PLAYOFF MEETING since Super Bowl III (Jets 16, Baltimore Colts 7)…… Teams played in AFC East from 1970-2001……Colts head coach TONY DUNGY & Jets head coach HERMAN EDWARDS overlapped tenures at Kansas City from 1990-91, Dungy as defensive coordinator & Edwards as scout before promotion to defensive backs coach in 1994.
