STEELERS TOP COLTS IN PITTSBURGH

Pittsburgh QB TOMMY MADDOX threw two touchdown passes to WR HINES WARD and RB JEROME BETTIS ran for two more as the Steelers defeated the Indianapolis Colts 28-10 in Pittsburgh on Monday night.

The Steelers scored on their first three possessions of the game, as Maddox hooked up with Ward on a 17-yard touchdown pass to put the first points on the board.  Bettis then scored on consecutive possessions on three- and five -yard runs, respectively.

Indianapolis cut the Pittsburgh lead to 21-10 early in third quarter when QB PEYTON MANNING connected with TE MARCUS POLLARD on a 41-yard scoring strike.

However, the Steelers answered right back with Maddox hitting Ward for the duo’s second touchdown of the night on a 14-yard pass play.
