EAGLES DEFEAT REDSKINS 37-7 IN NATION’S CAPITAL

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Redskins 37-7 Monday night in a battle of NFC East rivals.

Eagles QB DONOVAN MC NABB completed 26 of 38 passes for 292 yards, throwing two touchdown passes and running for another in the process.  Former Redskins WR JAMES THRASH was McNabb’s favorite target of the night, catching six passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.

QB SHANE MATTHEWS started the game for Washington, but was injured late in the first half.  Fellow University of Florida alum DANNY WUERFFEL quarterbacked the second half for the Redskins.

The result creates a four-way tie in the NFC East, with all four teams standing at 1-1.
