RAIDERS TOP STEELERS IN PITTSBURGH

The Oakland Raiders defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-17 Sunday night behind a record-setting performance by QB RICH GANNON.

Gannon broke nearly every major single-game passing record in Raiders history, completing 43 of 64 attempts for 403 yards and a touchdown.

Pittsburgh closed the Oakland lead to 20-17 on the last play of the third quarter, when QB KORDELL STEWART and WR HINES WARD hooked up for their second scoring strike of the night.

However, Raiders KR TERRY KIRBY returned the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown to halt the Steelers’ momentum.

Oakland improves to 2-0 with the win, while Pittsburgh drops to 0-2.
