RAVENS DEFEAT BROWNS IN CLEVELAND

Behind another strong defensive effort led by LB RAY LEWIS, the Baltimore Ravens jumped out to a 23-0 lead and held on for a 26-21 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday night.

Lewis had an interception and caused a fumble, which he recovered, before leaving the game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury.  Ravens QB CHRIS REDMAN completed 19 of 30 passes for 208 yards and threw two touchdown strikes to WR BRANDON STOKLEY.

Trailing 23-0 late in the third quarter, Cleveland staged a furious comeback led by QBs TIM COUCH and KELLY HOLCOMB.  Couch got the Browns on the board first with a two-yard touchdown pass to TE MARK CAMPBELL, but was forced to leave the game with a concussion early in the fourth quarter.

Holcomb then led the Browns on two more scoring drives, connecting with WR DENNIS NORTHCUTT on a pair of touchdown passes.  Cleveland’s rally was cut short when Ravens S ED REED intercepted Holcomb in the end zone in the game’s final minute.
