PACKERS DEFEAT VIKINGS ON FRIGID NIGHT IN GREEN BAY

On a night in Green Bay when the temperature dipped into single-digits, the host Packers defeated the division-rival Minnesota Vikings 26-22 to remain in the hunt for home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

Packers QB BRETT FAVRE completed 22 of 32 attempts for 214 yards, with two touchdown passes to WR ROBERT FERGUSON, who had career-highs with 6 receptions for 105 yards.  Green Bay rookie RB TONY FISHER carried 25 times for 96 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown on a 14-yard run with just over a minute left in the game.

Vikings RB MICHAEL BENNETT ran for 120 yards on 19 carries and QB DAUNTE CULPEPPER threw for one touchdown and ran for another in the losing effort.

With the win, Green Bay stayed on pace with the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, all 10-3, for the NFC’s best record.
