Fans To Vote For Winners On NFL.com

Quarterbacks MATT HASSELBECK of the Seattle Seahawks, JON KITNA of the Cincinnati Bengals, and ANTHONY WRIGHT of the Baltimore Ravens are the finalists for FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week honors for games played on November 23-24, while running backs EDDIE GEORGE of the Tennessee Titans, DEUCE MC ALLISTER of the New Orleans Saints and RICKY WILLIAMS of the Miami Dolphins are the finalists for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week honors, the NFL announced today.

Fans can vote for one player in each category on NFL.com immediately following Monday Night Football through noon on Wednesday to determine the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week.  The FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week will be announced Wednesday afternoon on NFL.com and Friday in USA Today.

A closer look at the FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists:

  • Seattle’s Matt Hasselbeck completed 23 of 41 attempts for 333 yards and five touchdowns for a 122.3 passer rating in the Seahawks’ 44-41 overtime loss to Baltimore.
     
  • Cincinnati’s Jon Kitna completed 24 of 38 attempts for 243 yards and four touchdowns for a 116.4 passer rating in the Bengals’ 34-27 win over San Diego.  
     
  • Baltimore’s Anthony Wright completed 20 of 37 attempts for 319 yards and four touchdowns for a 119.1 passer rating in the Ravens’ 44-41 overtime win over Seattle.  

A closer look at the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week finalists:

  • Tennessee’s Eddie George rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries in the Titans’ 38-31 win over Atlanta.   
     
  • New Orleans’ Deuce McAllister rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in the Saints’ 33-20 loss to Philadelphia.  McAllister, who also caught four passes for 48 yards, has rushed for 100 yards or more in eight consecutive games.
     
  • Miami’s Ricky Williams rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in the Dolphins’ come-from-behind 24-23 win over Washington.  Both of Williams’ touchdowns were in the fourth quarter.
