Garcia completed 19 of 28 attempts for 252 yards and four touchdowns for a 135.7 passer rating in the 49ers’ 50-14 win over Arizona. He also rushed for 32 yards and two scores on five carries. Portis rushed for 218 yards and five touchdowns on 22 carries in the Broncos’ 45-27 win over Kansas City. Portis, who ranks second in the AFC with 1,452 yards rushing, leads the NFL with a 5.8 yard per carry average. Garcia and Portis were selected from among finalists in air and ground categories. The other FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists were Minnesota Vikings quarterback DAUNTE CULPEPPER and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback DONOVAN MC NABB, while Buffalo Bills running back TRAVIS HENRY and Baltimore Ravens running back JAMAL LEWIS were the other finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week.
