SAINTS QB AARON BROOKS & BENGALS RB RUDI JOHNSON  

AS FEDEX AIR & GROUND NFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Quarterback AARON BROOKS of the New Orleans Saints and running back RUDI JOHNSON of the Cincinnati Bengals are the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played on December 14-15, the NFL announced today. 

Brooks completed 26 of 35 attempts for 296 yards and five touchdowns for a 138.8 passer rating in the Saints’ 45-7 win over the New York Giants.

Johnson rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in the Bengals’ 41-38 win over San Francisco.  Johnson, who has started five games, has rushed for 875 yards.

Brooks and Johnson were selected from among finalists in air and ground categories.  The other FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists were Kansas City Chiefs quarterback TRENT GREEN and Indianapolis Colts quarterback PEYTON MANNING, while Kansas City Chiefs running back PRIEST HOLMES and Denver Broncos running back CLINTON PORTIS were the other finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week.
