COLTS QB PEYTON MANNING & PACKERS RB AHMAN GREEN  

AS FEDEX AIR & GROUND NFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Quarterback PEYTON MANNING of the Indianapolis Colts and running back AHMAN GREEN of the Green Bay Packers are the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played on September 28-29, the NFL announced today. 

Manning completed 20 of 25 pass attempts for 314 yards and six touchdowns for a perfect passer rating of 158.3 in the Colts’ 55-21 win over New Orleans.  Manning’s six touchdown passes was a career-high and tied a team record while he recorded his third perfect passer rating of his career.

Green rushed for a career-high 176 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in the Packers’ 38-23 win over Chicago.

Manning and Green were selected from among three finalists in air and ground categories.  The other FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists were Minnesota Vikings quarterback GUS FREROTTE and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback JON KITNA, while Carolina Panthers running back STEPHEN DAVIS, Dallas Cowboys running back TROY HAMBRICK, and San Diego Chargers running back LA DAINIAN TOMLINSON were the other finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week.
