COWBOYS WIN MONDAY NIGHT THRILLER OVER GIANTS

In Dallas head coach BILL PARCELL’s return to New York, the place where he coached the Giants to two Super Bowl titles from 1983-90, his new team, the Cowboys, defeated his former club 35-32 in an overtime Monday Night thriller.

Cowboys QB QUINCY CARTER completed 24 of 39 passes for 298 yards and scored on an eight-yard touchdown run to give Dallas its first points of the game.  The third-year quarterback threw a 26-yard pass to WR ANTONIO BRYANT with four seconds left in regulation to set up K BILLY CUNDIFF's 52-yard field goal that sent the game into overtime.

Carter then led the Cowboys on an eight-play, 52-yard drive in the extra session, allowing Cundiff to win the game with a 25-yard field goal with 5:56 left in overtime.  Cundiff’s seven field goals on the night tied an NFL single-game record.

The Giants were led by QB KERRY COLLINS, who threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns.  WR AMANI TOOMER had seven catches for 126 yards and one touchdown.
