RAMS IMPROVE TO 6-3 WITH 33-22 DEFEAT OF RAVENS

The St. Louis Rams defeated the Baltimore Ravens 33-22 on Sunday night in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis to move into a tie with the Seattle Seahawks at 6-3 atop the NFC West.

Rams RB MARSHALL FAULK, who returned to action after missing five games due to injury, scored two touchdowns in the first six minutes of the game to get the home team off to a fast start.  The St. Louis defense and K JEFF WILKINS did most of the work from there as Rams S ADAM ARCHULETA scored on a 45-yard fumble return and Wilkins connected on four fourth-quarter field goals.

Baltimore RB JAMAL LEWIS carried 27 times for 111 yards and one touchdown in the losing effort.  Lewis continues to lead the NFL in rushing with 1156 yards through nine games.

The Ravens fall to 5-4 but remain atop the AFC North as they prepare to travel to Miami in Week 11 to face the Dolphins.  The Rams travel to Chicago for a showdown with the Bears next Sunday.
