KRIS JENKINS’ CLUTCH BLOCKED KICK AWARDED
NEW YORK—SEPTEMBER 18, 2003 – Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Kris Jenkins’ second blocked kick of the game to force overtime against the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been voted the NFL Play of the Week - Presented by LEVITRAâ - (vardenafil HCI) for games played in Week Two on September 14th and 15th. Jenkins’ play is now eligible to be selected as the NFL Play of the Year - Presented by LEVITRA - to be awarded this February at Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, Texas. Jenkins’ block of Tampa Bay’s point after touchdown attempt with no time left on the clock was his second blocked kick of the game and enabled the Carolina Panthers to capture a 12-9 overtime road win over the Buccaneers. Amazingly, the blocked PAT was the Panthers’ third blocked kick of the afternoon and their fifth blocked kick this season. Jenkins’ clutch blocked kick topped Baltimore Ravens running back Jamal Lewis’ 82-yard touchdown run in his record-breaking day against the Cleveland Browns in fan voting on NFL.com.
