RAMS’ BIG PLAYS HELP TOP BUCS 28-21 ON MONDAY NIGHT

The St. Louis Rams’ offense and defense produced timely big plays to help top the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-21 on Monday night.

Rams WR TORRY HOLT had six receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Holt had a 52-yard touchdown on the opening drive of the game, and a 36-yarder to put the Rams ahead for good.

With the Buccaneers seeking to take the lead midway through the third quarter, St. Louis S ADAM ARCHULETA stripped Buccaneers RB MICHAEL PITTMAN of the ball, and ran untouched 93 yards to score to give the Rams a 21-14 edge.

Buccaneers QB BRIAN GRIESE drove his team down to the St. Louis 15 on its their final drive, but Rams S AENEAS WILLIAMS forced a fumble by WR TIM and CB JERAMETRIUS BUTLER recovered to preserve the win.
