Along with the award, FedEx will donate $5,000 every week to the local children’s hospital in each winning market. The children’s hospitals in the two season-long winner’s markets, announced at this year’s Super Bowl, will be awarded $25,000 each. That means that FedEx will deliver nearly $250,000 to local children’s hospitals around the country in recognition of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Award winners. A closer look at the FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists: Green Bay’s Brett Favre completed 20 of 29 passes for 236 yards and four touchdowns, recording a passer rating of 133.0 in the Packers’ 34-31 win over the NFC North-rival Minnesota Vikings. Favre threw touchdown passes of two, six, 17 and 50 yards in the Packers’ victory, the second time this season he has thrown four touchdowns in a game. Indianapolis’ Peyton Manning threw for 320 yards and five touchdowns, completing 18 of 27 passes for a 115.7 passer rating in the Colts’ 49-14 victory over the AFC South-rival Houston Texans. Manning threw five touchdown passes for the third time this season and has thrown three or more touchdowns six times in nine games. Philadelphia’s Donovan McNabb completed 17 of 25 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns in the Eagles’ 49-21 victory over the NFC East-rival Dallas Cowboys. McNabb threw touchdown passes of 16, 27, 59 and 59 yards, and set up another touchdown with a spectacular play when he avoided the rush and threw a 60-yard pass. A closer look at the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week finalists: Kansas City’s Derrick Blaylock carried 33 times for 186 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs’ 27-20 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Blaylock scored on a three-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 20 in the fourth quarter. New Orleans’ Deuce McAllister ran for 127 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries in the Saints’ 27-20 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. McAllister scored on a 13-yard run and averaged nearly eight yards per carry. Jacksonville’s Fred Taylor carried 23 times for 144 yards in the Jaguars’ 23-17 overtime victory over the Detroit Lions. quarterback Brian Griese. Arizona’s Karlos Dansby recorded five tackles and two sacks in
the Cardinals’ 17-14 victory over the New York Giants. Both of Dansby’s
sacks were for five-yard losses. He is now tied for second on the team
with four sacks this season and has recorded 24 tackles. Carolina’s Chris Gamble recorded six tackles and one interception
in the Panthers’ 37-27 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Gamble’s
interception, the second of his NFL career, iced the game with just over
one minute left. He has recorded 39 tackles this season. St. Louis’ Steven Jackson carried 10 times for 47 yards and one touchdown in the Rams’ 23-12 victory over the NFC West-rival Seattle Seahawks. Jackson, who added one reception for nine yards, ranks second on the team with 59 carries for 308 yards and two touchdowns. Indianapolis’ Bob Sanders recorded nine tackles and returned a
fumble 37 yards for a touchdown in the Colts’ 49-14 victory over the AFC
South-rival Houston Texans. Sanders, whose return gave Indianapolis a

Eddie Drummond, WR- Detroit Lions, 83-yard punt return for a touchdown With his team trailing the Jacksonville Jaguars by a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, Detroit Lions wide receiver Eddie Drummond fielded a punt at his own 17-yard line and raced 83 yards down the sideline to tie the score at 17-17. The touchdown was Drummond's second of the game. He returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown earlier in the fourth quarter. The Lions lost to the Jaguars 23-17 in overtime, however Drummond finished the day with six punt returns for 199 yards and two touchdowns. Jimmy Smith, WR- Jacksonville Jaguars, 36-yard touchdown reception In overtime of the Jacksonville Jaguars game against the Detroit Lions, Jaguars wide receiver Jimmy Smith broke free from the Lions secondary and reeled in a 36-yard scoring strike from quarterback David Garrard. Smith finished with seven catches for 109 yards, including three catches for 69 yards in overtime as the Jaguars defeated the Lions 23-17.
