The FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week will be announced Thursday on NFL.com and Friday in USA Today. Fans will be voting for more than their favorite player. The weekly FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards are a win for the local community. Along with the award, FedEx will donate $5,000 every week to the local children’s hospital in each winning market. The children’s hospitals in the two season-long winner’s markets, announced at this year’s Super Bowl, will be awarded $25,000 each. That means that FedEx will deliver nearly $250,000 to local children’s hospitals around the country in recognition of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Award winners. A closer look at the FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists: Houston’s David Carr completed 27 of 43 passes for 372 yards and three touchdowns for a passer rating of 113.7 in the Texans’ 34-28 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Carr rallied Houston from a 28-14 fourth-quarter deficit with touchdown passes of 11 and 22 yards in the final four minutes to send the game to overtime. Minnesota’s Daunte Culpepper threw for 396 yards and five touchdowns, completing 36 of 50 pass attempts for a 128.4 passer rating in the Vikings’ 34-28 overtime win over the Houston Texans. Culpepper threw touchdown passes of one, five, 10 and 50 yards in regulation before tossing a 50-yard game-winner in overtime. San Francisco’s Tim Rattay completed 38 of his 57 pass attempts for 417 yards, two touchdowns and a passer rating of 99.8 in the 49ers’ 31-28 overtime victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Down 28-12 with less than five minutes to play, Rattay threw his two touchdown passes to send the game to overtime, where the 49ers prevailed. A closer look at the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week finalists: The New York Giants’ Tiki Barber carried 23 times for 122 yards and one touchdown in the Giants’ 26-10 victory over the NFC East-rival Dallas Cowboys. Barber added five receptions for 76 yards. Tennessee’s Chris Brown carried 27 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans 48-27 win over the Green Bay Packers. Brown scored touchdowns of 37 and 29 yards on his second and fourth carries of the game. Denver’s Reuben Droughns ran for 193 yards on 30 carries in the Broncos’ 20-17 win over the Carolina Panthers. Droughns added four receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown. Colbert scored on a 26-yard touchdown pass from Jake Delhomme in the second quarter to give the Panthers a 7-6 lead. He ranks second on the team with 11 receptions for 201 yards and two touchdowns. Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald caught five passes for 94 yards and one touchdown in the Cardinals’ 31-28 overtime loss to the NFC West-rival San Francisco 49ers. Fitzgerald caught his first NFL touchdown pass in the fourth quarter on a 24-yard strike from Josh McCown. He leads the team with 22 catches for 298 yards and one TD. Minnesota’s Mewelde Moore carried 20 times for 92 yards and caught 12 passes for 90 yards in the Vikings’ 34-28 overtime win over the Houston Texans. Moore, making his first career start, gave the Vikings a huge lift at tailback, accounting for 182 yards of total offense. Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger completed 16 of 21 passes for 231 yards and one touchdown in the Steelers’ 34-23 victory over the AFC North-rival Cleveland Browns. Roethlisberger gave Pittsburgh a 14-7 lead on a six-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress in the second. Baltimore’s B.J. Sams returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown in
the Ravens’ 17-10 victory over the Washington Redskins. Sams’ touchdown
return was his second in as many games, and it put the Ravens ahead for

On Minnesota’s second possession of overtime against the Houston Texans, Vikings wide receiver Marcus Robinson hauled in a 50-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Daunte Culpepper. Robinson caught the ball in stride and raced untouched into the endzone for the game-winning score to give Minnesota a 34-28 overtime victory. He finished with 150 yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions. Andre Johnson, WR- Houston Texans- Two-yard touchdown reception With just over seven minutes to play in the first half of the Houston Texans’ match up with the Minnesota Vikings, Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson grabbed a David Carr pass for a two-yard touchdown. Johnson jumped high into the air to snatch Carr’s throw and hung on to the ball after a Vikings’ defender upended him. Johnson set career-highs in receptions, yards and touchdowns, catching 12 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns. Ed Reed, S- Baltimore Ravens- 22-yard fumble return for a touchdown With his team trailing 10-0 in the third quarter, Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed came free on a blitz and stripped Washington Redskins quarterback Mark Brunell of the football. Reed then scooped up the ball before it went out of bounds and raced 22 yards for a touchdown. Reed’s play sparked the Ravens’ second half surge as they went on beat the Redskins 17-10. Shaun McDonald, WR- St. Louis Rams- 52-yard game-winning touchdown reception Less than three minutes into overtime, St. Louis Rams wide receiver Shaun McDonald streaked past a Seattle Seahawks defender and caught a game-winning 52-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Marc Bulger. The Rams scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime before McDonald’s game-winner. The Rams’ 33-27 victory over the Seahawks ended Seattle’s 10-game home winning streak. Brandon Lloyd- WR- San Francisco 49ers- 23 yard touchdown reception With 1:07 left in regulation, San Francisco wide receiver Brandon Lloyd made a diving 23-yard touchdown catch in the back of endzone, bringing the 49ers within two points of the Arizona Cardinals. Lloyd also caught the ensuing two-point conversion to send the game into overtime, where Todd Peterson kicked a 32-yard field goal to give the 49ers their first win of the season, 31-28.
