BEARS DEFEAT 49ERS 23-13 ON SUNDAY NIGHT

Making his first career start for the Chicago Bears, QB CRAIG KRENZEL helped lead the team past the San Francisco 49ers 23-13 on Sunday night.

On the Bears first offensive play of the game, Krenzel found WR BERNARD BERRIAN for a 48-yard touchdown. For the game, Krenzel completed 13 of 25 attempts passes for 168 yards and a touchdown.

With Chicago leading 16-13 in the fourth quarter and the 49ers driving to possibly take the lead, rookie CB NATHAN VASHAR intercepted 49ers QB KEN DORSEY pass and returned it 71 yards for a touchdown.

Chicago RB ANTHONY THOMAS rushed 25 times for 98 yards.
